This supplement combines multivitamins with zinc. Most people can get what they need from a varied, balanced diet, but some people may need extra.

• Vitamins are needed for normal growth and for the body to work properly.
• Zinc is a mineral that helps the body make new cells and enzymes, use the energy in food, and heal wounds.

They are combined so you can top up several nutrients in one product.

Take it as described on the pack or as your doctor or pharmacist tells you.

• Do not take more than the recommended amount, and avoid taking other supplements that also contain zinc or the same vitamins.
• Unless a doctor advises it, adults should not take more than 25 mg of zinc a day from supplements.

Taken as directed, this supplement rarely causes problems. Too much zinc over time reduces how much copper your body absorbs, which can lead to anaemia and weaker bones. Too much of some vitamins, such as A and D, can also be harmful.

Get medical help straight away if:

• a child swallows adult vitamin tablets, especially ones containing iron
• someone has taken a large amount and has vomiting, diarrhoea or weakness

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you:

• are pregnant or planning a pregnancy
• smoke or have worked with asbestos (avoid products with beta-carotene)
• take other medicines or supplements
• have a long-term health condition

Store as directed on the pack and keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Pregnancy: avoid supplements containing vitamin A (retinol) or fish liver oil when pregnant, as too much vitamin A can harm the baby. Check the label.

Children: keep all supplements locked away; an overdose of adult vitamins, especially with iron, is dangerous for young children.
