Uses
Bromazepam belongs to a group of medicines called benzodiazepines. It has a calming (sedative) effect.
It is used for the short-term treatment of severe anxiety. People aged 65 or over may be more sensitive to its side effects and should talk to their doctor first.
How to use
Take it exactly as your doctor tells you. Your doctor will usually start with a low dose and adjust it.
- Do not change the dose yourself. If it seems too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor.
- It is meant for short-term use only.
- Do not stop suddenly or lower the dose on your own. Your doctor will reduce it slowly to avoid withdrawal.
- Keep it somewhere safe and secure to prevent misuse by others.
