Systane Lubricant Eye drops 0.3% Drops

Propylene glycol is a lubricant used in artificial tear eye drops. It is used to:

• temporarily relieve burning and irritation caused by dry eyes
• keep the eye moist and help protect it from further irritation

Use it as the label, your doctor or pharmacist tells you, usually 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) when needed.

• Shake the bottle well if the label says so.
• Wash your hands before use.
• Do not let the tip of the bottle touch your eye or any surface, to keep the drops clean.
• Put the cap back on straight after use.

Stop using them and see a doctor if you have:

• eye pain
• changes in your vision
• redness or irritation that continues or gets worse
• symptoms that last more than 72 hours

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you:

• are sensitive or allergic to any ingredient in the drops
• have eye pain, vision changes or a red eye, as these need a doctor's check rather than lubricant drops

Keep at room temperature with the cap closed, and out of the reach of children.

Do not use if the solution has changed colour or looks cloudy.

If swallowed: get medical help or contact a poison centre straight away.
