Conifa Tablet 5mg Tablets

Solifenacin treats symptoms of an overactive bladder, including:

• sudden, strong urges to pee
• needing to pee more often than usual
• leaking urine (urge incontinence)

It relaxes the muscle of the bladder wall so the bladder can hold more urine and you have more control over when you pee.

Take solifenacin as your doctor or pharmacist tells you. It is usually taken once a day, at the same time each day, with or without food.

• Swallow tablets whole with water. Do not chew or crush them.
• For the liquid, use the syringe or spoon provided, not a kitchen spoon.
• If you miss a dose, take it when you remember unless it is already the next day. Never take two doses at once.
• It can take 4 to 6 weeks to work fully. Do not stop taking it without talking to your doctor.

Common side effects include:

• dry mouth
• blurred vision
• headache
• constipation
• feeling sick, indigestion, bloating or stomach pain

Get medical help straight away if…

• you cannot pee or empty your bladder fully
• you have severe stomach pain, cannot poo, or constipation lasting more than 3 days
• you have fever, burning when peeing, back pain or cloudy or bloody urine
• you have swelling of the lips, mouth, throat or tongue, or difficulty breathing

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it if you:

• have liver or kidney problems
• have glaucoma or myasthenia gravis
• have a severe bowel condition such as toxic megacolon
• have problems emptying your bladder
• are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding
• take itraconazole, ritonavir or other medicines that cause drowsiness or a dry mouth

Keep in the original container, tightly closed, at room temperature, away from excess heat and moisture, and out of the reach of children.

Solifenacin can make it harder for your body to cool down. Avoid extreme heat and get help if you have fever, dizziness, headache or confusion after being in the heat. Do not drive if it makes you sleepy, dizzy or blurs your vision, and avoid alcohol until you know how it affects you.
